Mini Super Markets

One of the best things about small Mexican towns like San Pancho is their mini super markets and convenience stores. These are located on just about every street and carry just enough of all the basics, such as food, snacks, sweets, drinks, alcohol, soap, shampoo, magazines, books, beach items, and even clothes. Open early in the morning and until fairly late at night, mini marts can be a godsend for easy access to last-minute essentials like sunscreen and water. They are by nature small, so be careful with backpacks and bags while walking through narrow isles. Since many towns in Mexico don’t have large supermarkets, mini markets and corner grocers are the place to buy food and supplies – so pack light!
